In honor of Veterans Day, some photos of my grandpa Ray.
My grandpa Ray was born in Detroit, served in the navy and later worked as a letter carrier in Chicago.
Oh how I wish I had met him!

My mom emailed this to me a while back, and I thought I'd share..
Subject: Great Grandpa Miceli
I hope you can open this - It's a picture of your Great Grandfather. He's playing his concertina. He carried it with him during World War I and played it for his fellow comrades. He was a part of an army core of engineers and they were in charge of building bridges. He would get tired of carrying it and throw it away and the other soldiers would retrieve it so they could hear him play. I got this story from my cousin Jean.
